Sen. John McCain announced today he won’t vote for the Cassidy-Graham health care bill, saying once again he wants the Senate to adhere to regular order and do things in a bipartisan fashion. With Sen.
Rand Paul a firm no and Sen. Susan Collins almost assuredly a no, this likely kills the Senate’s last attempt to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act before its Sept. 30 deadline.
Key quote: “We should not be content to pass health care legislation on a party line basis … I cannot in good conscience vote for the Graham-Cassidy proposal.”
